Evaluating supplier sustainability using fuzzy 2-tuple representation

abstract: In the last years, participation of suppliers in development, production, and distribution products has increased. this way, sustainability an organization depends more on these partners. The supplier assessment must be based economic, environmental social tripod called triple bottom line (TBL). Due to recent adoption qualitative metrics related issues business management, models that deal with assessments experts’ judgments have been required. This paper proposes a model fuzzy 2-tuple linguistic representation using TBL criteria. A pilot application involving evaluation 11 13 criteria was carried out company manufactures agricultural products. results indicate 8 presents higher performance. evaluated as most relevant are delivery schedule product quality. use representation, proposed some advantages over previous similar models, such ability quantitative well categorize supplier's overall performance into groups defined by terms.
